Sara graduated from The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2008 and then spent 8 years with Northwestern Mutual wearing many hats including recruiter, Executive Assistant and Director of Operations for the downtown Athens office. Sara has spent the last decade helping her husband, Aaron, renovate 3 different homes (a 1930’s brick bungalow, a 1970’s ranch and a 150+ year old farmhouse), raising 4 children (Blythe, Charlotte, Mabel, and Lee) and has been working in real estate since 2016.

The Watwood family currently lives in the quaint and artsy little city of Winterville. You can often find Sara on the Firefly Trail with a gaggle of children, at the local library, or tending to their flock of hens. She’s a multi-tasking queen who loves to host and cook for friends and is a natural connector of people.

While Aaron, may be the only one listed on the real estate contract, Sara is always working behind the scenes to make sure everything is as smooth, clear and timely as possible. Sara will make sure what needs to get done happens- she may arrive with a carload of kids to a showing, but she’ll make sure you see that house before it’s too late! She’s often the one coordinating with the inspector, lender and attorney, and has earned the nickname “The Closer” since she’s usually the one reviewing the ink before it dries at the closing table.
