Books for Keeps Annual Community Book Fair: What’s better than free books? This weekend, the public gets to browse the Books for Keeps warehouse freely! There are books for all ages and spanning across all subjects. Each person may take home up to 100 books. You can even bring your own gently used books to donate back to the cause. This event is happening all weekend, get more information here!
Native Plant Sale: Does the cooler weather have you finally wanting to work outside? If so, the State Botanical Garden will be hosting their Native Plant Sale this weekend each day from 4-6 pm! This is a great time to stock up on some local plants and find some to incorporate into your outdoor and indoor living spaces. Learn more about this event and the gardens here.
North GA Folk Festival: Enjoy the cool fall weather outside at Sandy Creek Park this Saturday enjoying the North Georgia Folk Festival. There will be several great activities for all ages including crafts, live music, food, and so much more. The gates open at 10:30 am and this event lasts until dark. UGA Watch Party: Swing by Creature Comforts on Saturday starting at from 12-10 pm for the ultimate UGA Football Watch Party. Visitors will get a special glass at entry, and a drink poured by a special guest bartender- Champ Bailey. During halftime, Bailey will be singing apparel from Dyme Lyfe. There will even be a chance to win a signed football from Coach Kirby Smart. Admission is free and all ages welcome!
UGA vs. Kentucky: UGA kicks off another home game this Saturday at 7 pm! Whether you are heading straight to the game, or looking for some fun activities beforehand, downtown Athens will have all of the exciting activities and places to enjoy the game. Zombie Farms Haunted Trail : Looking for something spooky to kick off the month of Halloween? Check out Zombie Farms Haunted trail! Located just 10 minutes from Athens, this trail will immerse you into a horror set as you walk the 3/4 mile long trail. This Saturday starts at 8 pm and the line stops admission at 10:45 pm. Bumpkinfest Fall Market: This fall market kicks off Southern Brewing Company’s seasonal fall beer, bumpkin, and features lots of fun retailers, artists, and a food truck. This event is pet and family friendly, and is the perfect way to spend a fall Sunday. More information an be found here!
UGA Women’s Soccer vs. Florida: The 2023 Women’s Soccer Team is looking promising this season, come watch them take on Florida this Sunday at 2 pm! This is a free game and is sure to be a fun one to watch. View the full schedule here.
