Football Friday Tour: To kick off the start to an amazing Homecoming weekend, come to University of Georgia’s special collection library to tour from 3pm-4pm for free! Explore original artifacts and rare photos that celebrate Vince Dooley’s amazing career as a coach and pay tribute to the many things he improved in and around the community. Mimosas & Biscuits: Start your Saturday off right with Tapped Athens monthly Mimosas & Biscuits. Starting at 10am till supplies last Tapped Athens serves up freshly baked homemade biscuits served with local BearHug sourwood honey and delicious marmalade. Learn more about events at Tapped Athens!
Athens Symphony Fall Concert: This Sunday come enjoy beautiful music played by local volunteers that come together weekly to share their love of symphony! Their fall playbook includes classical tunes of The Star Spangled Banner, Fantasia on the “Greensleeves”, and the Overture from the Pirates of Penzance. And will be a “Jolly Good Show”. Tickets to view the Symphony are free, and the concert begins at the Classic Center at 3pm. Learn more about the Athens Symphony!
Car Show at Akademia Brewery: On Sunday come view some of the most gorgeous classic cars in Athens provided by Mack Evans and Allen Carter memorial Cruz in with Street Masters Car Club! Starting at 12pm come grab a beer and some brunch and enjoy Akademia’s final car show of the year. Visit Akademia’s facebook page here!
