Laughing Skull Presents: Best of Atlanta Comedy: Come ready to get your laugh on. This comedy show at Hendershot’s is presented by Laughing Skull and features the best comedians from Atlanta. Doors are at 7 pm, and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased here!
Hot Corner Celebration and Soul Food Fest: Celebrate this historic African-American business district community this Saturday from 11 am – 10 pm at the Hot Corner Celebration! Located at the corner of Washington and Hull Streets downtown, you’ll find amazing food, art vendors, local authors, music, and so much more! Click here to learn more about this festival!
Family Day: Juneteenth: This Saturday, the Georgia Museum of Art is hosting it’s Family Day in celebration of Juneteenth. There will be works from African American artists, Art Cart games, and an opportunity to make your own art. This event is perfect for all ages, and if you can’t make it in person from 10 am – 12 pm, you can arrange to pick up a to-go kit at 1 pm. More info here!
Spring Concert Series: This free live music event starts at 6 pm this Saturday! Join the Front Porch Bookstore as they welcome the Tin Chicken Band on their lineup for the Spring Concert Series. To learn more about the rest of the summer schedule or the Tin Chicken Band click here!
Art + Wellness Studio: Spend your Sunday winding down with art therapist Meg Abbot at the Georgia Museum of Art from 2-4 pm. This class will be spent creating and exploring art while focussing on a sense of well-being. While this class is free, please make sure to RSVP by emailing [email protected] as seats are limited. Aquatic Soul Band: This R&B/Soul band is one you do not want to miss live! Hosted by the ACC Library, this free show is on Sunday starting at 3 pm. Free for all ages!
