Grand Slam: This FREE summer program is exclusively for Athens-Clarke Co. Middle and High School students. Join other classmates from 6-9 on Friday nights at Lay park for games, a DJ, sports, refreshments, and more! Learn more about this program here!
Annual Cottage Classic Golf Tournament: This annual golf tournament is a great way to support The Cottage. This is a “shotgun” style tournament on the UGA Golf Course. All levels are invited to participate, registration begins at 7:30 AM and tee-off is at 8:15. Registration is $125 and covers an 18 hole game, a cart, food, drink, and prizes. Walk Into Wellness: If you’re looking for activities to move your body and meet new members of your community, this free activity is just what you’re looking for! Each walk in this summer series focuses on a new health topic. Registration is at 9 AM, at the Dudley Park Pavilion. See more info on future walks here!
Pointed Dip Pen Calligraphy and Pet Portraits in Acrylic: Whether you are looking to master your calligraphy skills, or you want to paint a beautiful portrait of your pet to hang in your home, K.A Artist Studio has you covered this weekend! The Pointed Dip Pen Calligraphy will be hosted by Kristen MacCarthy on Saturday at 1 PM. The Pet Portraits in Acrylic will take place on Sunday from 1-5 PM, and will be led by Lauren Adams. Both classes are $55, and you can register here!
Dog Days of Summer: Calling all dog and beer lovers! Saturday from 4-8 PM, spend your afternoon at Terrapin enjoying tunes from Classic City Jukebox! This event is in collab with the Athens Area Humane Society and is a fun, casual fundraising event. Bring your furry companion if you wish! Athentic Bluegrass Jam: Come enjoy a great local beer on Sunday from 2-5 PM at Athentic, and bring your instrument if you want to jam! This bluegrass jam is for all skill levels, and the sole purpose is to unite members of the local music community! Learn more about this event and future jams here!
