Athens Area Holiday Roundup!

Its the best time of the year! Theres so much to do in and around the Athens area this season. We have compiled our favorite events happening to make sure you and your family have a wonderful Holiday!

Activities

Athens on Ice: The Classic Center has Athens biggest ice rink, its a great family activity to get in that holiday spirit. There are also skates available for rental and seals to help the little ones learn to skate. Visit the website here!

Winter Wonderland: One of the communities new favorite holiday activities, the State Botanical Garden’s 3rd annual Winter Wonderland will leave you in awe. Walk through and see the 11 different illuminated displays, and grab a hot cocoa or roast some marshmallows. Buy your tickets here!

Athens Holiday Market: A two day Holiday market Dec. 14 & 15th at Big City Bread Cafe, featuring live music and lots of amazing local products, perfect for gifts!

West Broad Farmers Market Holiday Market: The West Broad Farmers Market will be a merry one this Saturday, Dec. 16th. So swing by from 11am-2pm!

Holiday Artist’s Market: This Saturday Dec. 16 at Creature Comforts. One of Athens favorite breweries will be open from 12pm-10pm. With over 50 artist and live music this is a super fun way to spend your Saturday.

Performances

A Christmas Sampler: Put on by the Athen’s Master Chorale, come experience a beautiful presentation at the Classic Center Atrium on Dec. 17th at 4pm. Buy your tickets here!

The Nutcracker: A Christmas time classic performed by The State Ballet of Ukraine on Friday Dec. 22nd at 7pm and Saturday Dec. 23 at 2pm. Buy your tickets here!
