Athens and Oconee

Athens Twilight Criterium: One of the most fun weekends in Athens is finally here, Twilight! Cyclists from all over the world will hit the streets of Downtown Athens on Saturday, but there is plenty of fun to be had before then. Friday will have live music and activities, and registration packet pickup. Saturday will start at 8 AM with a 5k, and continue all day with activities for everyone. The main races will start at 7 PM with the Women’s Criterium, and 8:15 with the Men’s. For more information and a detailed schedule, you can check out their website here.

Normaltown Music Festival: What’s better than a good, cold beer and live music on a Saturday? Join Athentic Brewing for the Normaltown Music Festival for a stellar artist lineup starting at 12 PM! This event benefits Athens Resonates, Nuci’s Space, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens. Athentic will also be dropping a new beer for the festival. Tickets can be found on their website here.

Blue Ridge

Rhododendron Festival: Every Friday-Sunday, join Hamilton Gardens at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. The botanical gardens are filled with native wildflowers, and it’s currently peak bloom time! Times vary by the days, so make sure to visit their website before you go! There will be crafters, live music, plant sales, drinks, and more! More information and schedule can be found here.

Bourbon Revival Band- Music for Mutts Benefit for Fannin Canine Fund: Join Kentucky’s #1 Bluegrass band, Bourbon Revival, this Saturday at Downtown Blue Ridge City Park from 12-3 PM. This Free show is dedicated to raising funds for the Fannin Canine Fund to build a new Animal Control Facility. This will be a great live music event! Donations are requested but not mandatory.
