Athens and Oconee

Athens Gem, Mineral, Fossil, and Jewelry Show: This public bi-annual show will feature over two dozen professionals with all things geological. Come find unique crystals, minerals, natural gemstones, and more! This will be happening at the Classic Center, and admission is $8 for anyone over 15, and free for anyone younger. Charcuterie & Wine Pairing Class: Embark on a culinary adventure at Athens Cooks with Sherryann this Saturday! You’ll get to sip on tropical wine while learning all about the culture and flavors used in creating delicious dishes from Sherryann. Class is this Saturday from 6-8 PM at Athens Cooks. Spring Into Wellness at Wire Park: Don’t miss Wire Park’s first-ever Spring into Wellness this Saturday with Oconee County Library! This free event will have live music, food, archery, crafts, and so many more fun activities. Make sure to fill out your bingo card for a chance to win prizes. Blue Ridge

Georgia Wine Highway: It’s finally time for Georgia’s Wine Highway! Beginning this Friday, get your wine passports and head to some local Blue Ridge wineries for your tastings! This is one of the best ways to experience all of the great vineyards and flavors that can be found in Northeast Georgia. Visit the Georgia Wine website to purchase your passport and get your map of participating wineries! You can also purchase passports at participating wineries and tasting rooms. 


Blue Ridge Scenic Railway: What better way to experience the scenic Blue Ridge area than to travel by railcar? With multiple excursion options, you can travel to different sister cities and explore the beautiful mountainscapes.
