ACC Library Friends Fall Book Sale: This weekend it’s Athens’ turn to host their Library Friends Fall Book Sale! Starting Friday, you can browse books, CD’s, DVD’s, and audiobooks! Saturday is $10 a bag day. Visit their website here to learn more!
Night Hike: Want to enjoy a peaceful hike guided by moonlight? Join Sandy Creek Nature center tonight at 7:15 pm for a guided hike. Ages 8 and up, registration is required. Learn more about this night hike and register here!
Hispanic Heritage Month Festival: This all-day event is taking place between Clayton and Broad St. on Saturday! The morning will start with a mariachi band at 10 am, and then there will be dancing and live music the rest of the day. Make sure you come hungry, because there will be foods from Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and more! To see the full lineup click here!
UGA Watch Party: Swing by Creature Comforts on Saturday starting at from 12-10 pm for the ultimate UGA Football Watch Party. Visitors will get a special glass at entry, and a drink poured by a special guest bartender- Champ Bailey. During halftime, Bailey will be singing apparel from Dyme Lyfe. There will even be a chance to win a signed football from Coach Kirby Smart. Admission is free and all ages welcome!
Athens Hot Air Balloon Festival: If you’re looking to spend the beautiful Saturday outdoors, the ACC Leisure Services Department is hosting the Above Athens Hot Air Balloon Festival from 3-8 pm at Sandy Creek Park. You’ll have the opportunity to view the balloons up close and explore the inside of some. You can also catch a tethered balloon ride, and enjoy some food trucks on site. No admission fee for entry, but the ballon rides will be $25 a person, cash only! Learn more about this event here!
Athens Pridefest : Hosted at Terrapin Brewery by Athens Pride and Queer Collective, Pridefest returns this Saturday from 12-6 pm. There will be plenty of vendors, entertainment and performances, a drag show, and more! It will be a wonderful time of celebration. More info can be found here on their Facebook!
Secret Record Shop : Spend your Sunday at Athentic Brewing Company for a celebration of music and vinyl records. There will be vendors looking to buy, trade, and sell their own records and other music goodies, as well as live music throughout the day! Bring your records that you’re ready to swap out and enjoy a great beer while you’re browsing new ones. There is a $5 cover from 11 am until noon, and then it’s free entry until 5!
