Athens Area

2024 Athens, Ga Gem, Mineral, Fossil, and Jewlery Show: This event spans the entire week at Classic Center, and features geological dealers from all over. This event is open to the public so be sure to swing by and check it out! Check out the facebook page for the event here!

Polar Bear Plunge & Winter Festival: Hosted by the Northeast Georgia Council for Domestic Violence. This festival is located at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp at Lake Hartwell on Saturday from 11am-4pm. Events include a costume parade and competition, live music, dance contest and more. Visit the website for more information.

MOAS Adoption Events: This Saturday, the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter will be hosting two adoption events around Athens. The first one is at Pet Supplies Plus on Alps road, and the other is at Tractor Supply on Lexington, both events are from 11am-5pm. All Are Welcome Spring Market: This market at Athentic Brewery presents over 50 vendors and performances by Julianne Merrit, Caroline Coleman, Lilith Jenovax, Parys, Full on Monet and Red Dakota. The Market runs from 12pm – 6pm. www.athenticbrewing.com

UGA Equestrian: Come support UGA’s equestrian team, the 7 time national champions. This is one of their few competitions in their home complex, the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop. This competition is against South Dakota St at 11am on Saturday. Visit the website here!

Oconee Library Grand Opening : Oconee Library is having the grand opening for its new location at 1080 Experiment Station Rd.
Watkinsville, GA 30677 United States. Swing by to check it out, where they will have the opening ceremony, live music, magic show, folk dancing and more. From 10am-7:30pm! Visit the website here!

Swan Lake: The best of all the ballet recitals will be performed at the Classic Center on Sunday at 6pm. This is a one night performance put on by the World Ballet Series. The production also features hand-painted sets and over 150 costumes. Tickets range from $35-80, you can purchase here!
