Athens Area Weekend Roundup! June 28-30th

Happy Weekend Athens friends. Were still coming down from all the excitement of AthFest last weekend, but lucky for you… we still have fun going on here in the Classic City! There are lots of events throughout the weekend, along with the beginning of this week as we go into celebrating Independence Day! For Kids:

The Wizard of Oz: Come watch a screening of the family friendly movie The Wizard of Oz at Athens Clarke County Library! Free, starting at 12pm… and there will be free popcorn! www.athenslibrary.org

Teen DIY Nail Art: Show your nail art skills with free supply of nail polish at Oconee Co Library on Friday at 4pm. Grades 6-12 and its free! www.athenslibrary.org/oconee

Events:

Opening Reception: come experience beautiful works of art from the UUGA artist. At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens this Friday from 4-6pm, free! www.uuathensga.org

One Night Stand: A Sexuality PowerPoint Party: Put on by Revolution Therapy and Yoga this Friday starting at 5:30pm. A monthly edu-tainment event with talks by experts and enthusiast on everything having to do with sexuality. Only requiring a $10 donation. www.revolutiontherapyandyoga.com

The Hothouse: Calling all comedic enthusiast, swing by work.shop on Friday at 8pm. This is improv comedy using audience input and suggestions, with LeeAnn Peppers and Matt House. Tickets are only $10. www.flyingsquidcomedy.com

Yoga at the Library: on Saturday at 10am, Oglethorpe Co. Library, come enjoy yoga that will be both relaxing and easy for any age… its also free!

Miniature Painting Workshop: Come show all your art skills at Tyche’s Games on Saturday at 1pm. It is a bring your own, so bring any primed miniature that you’re ready to bring some life to, and learn the basics of painting all things mini! www.tychesgames.com
