OCAF’s Closing Ceremony for Spring Exhibitions: Tonight will be the last chance to check out the great exhibits at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation! This event is free and will take place from 5-7 PM. Visit www.ocaf.com to learn more about the artists and displays!
Open House Pottery Sale: If you’re looking for a great deal on pottery and other house and garden goodies, stop by anytime Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM! Geoff and Lisa Pickett will have a great assortment of pots and other items. This sale will be located at 1171 Freeman Creek Road in Bishop GA, and you can learn more about the potters and event here!
Forest Heights Blueberry Festival: The third annual Blueberry Festival is back in Forest Heights. This neighborhood festival raises money to plant blueberry bushes throughout the community to be enjoyed by everyone. There will be events all day Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM with the BikeAthens Blueberry Rally, and ending with the Jam Concert starting at 5:30 PM. There will be food trucks and prizes as well! Family Fun Day: School is out! If you are still looking for great activities to do with little ones, head over to the Athens Regional Library this Saturday from 10 AM – 1 PM. There will be plenty of fun activities like a puppet-building workshop, a showcase of city vehicles, a petting zoo, and so much more! Athens Second Annual Pride Parade: This whole weekend is full of events to celebrate Pride! A kick-off will be held at Akademia Friday at 9 PM. The Parade is in Downtown and will begin at 2 PM. After the parade, there will be a festival at the Classic Center Pavilion from 3-6 PM. Then you can get your dance party on at Little Kings from 5 PM- Midnight! Sunday there will be a tie-dye party at Athentic Brewing at 3 PM, followed by a Queer Trivia night!
