Orchid Repotting Class @ UGA Botanical Gardens: The horticulture staff will lead a repotting class for those with their own orchid and pot. Register for individual sessions. Saturday, Feb 24th, 9​​–11 a.m. $15. www.botgarden.uga.edu

Small Town Saturday @ Athentic Brewing: Browse local vendors with live music and food for sale. Saturday, Feb. 24th 2–8 p.m. www.athenticbrewing.com

Athens Farmers Market: This market is from 8am – 12pm and hosts over 40 vendors each week. A wide selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats, baked goods, prepared and preserved foods, handmade art, fresh flowers, and hot coffee are at each Saturday market. Guided Mushroom Foray: The best way to learn mushroom identification is firsthand. This excursion takes place in a beautiful natural setting where we can guarantee plenty of fresh air and new knowledge. The best part? All necessary tools are provided by us so anyone who signs up has nothing else they need to worry about except having some quality time outdoors surrounded by nature. Explore Hart County at Hart County Botanical Gardens : The garden consists of approximately eight acres located adjacent to Hart County Athletic facility at 1277 Elberton Highway in Hartwell, Georgia.​The gardens are open from dawn to dusk daily, free of charge, and leashed furry friends are welcome to explore as well!
