Spring Plant Sale: The best plant sale of the year is happening this weekend at the State Botanical Garden of UGA! Whether you need to stock up on your herbs, flowers, or indoor plants, or if you want to bring your current ones in to learn how to care for them, this is the time to do it! There will be several plant experts ready to answer your gardening questions, or help you select the right plants for you! Saturday’s sale is from 2-6 PM. Free admission! More info can be found here!
G-DAY 2023: It’s the best day of Spring for any GA football fans, G-DAY! Gates open at 1, and tickets can be purchased online here! The Alumni Flag Football Game will kick off at 1:15, Dawg Walk will follow at 2:45, and the Game will start at 4. If you can’t make it to Sanford Stadium, you can catch the game on ESPN2.
Marigold Market: Join the Winterville/East Side local community for the first of the season Marigold Market from 10-2 this Saturday! There will be fresh local food and many wonderful artisan goods. More info can be found here!
Shellfest 2023: This Sunday is the 2nd annual Shellfest at Hendershot’s! From 3-7 PM, you can enjoy fresh oysters, drinks, and live music! This festival supports the Shell to Shore shell recycling program in Georgia. Tickets and more information can be found here!
Blue Ridge
Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival: This great storytelling event will be at The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge Friday and Saturday! This great program will have storytelling, workshops, and so much more! To see the lineup, schedule, and ticket info, check out their website here!
Spring Arts & Crafts Sale of Blue Ridge: This great sale is a perfect place to shop for handmade goods from local crafts people and artisans! Free entry and parking, there will also be food available! Taking place this Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, and Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm. More info can be found here!
Bear on the Square: Celebrating it’s 25th year of Bluegrass, artists market, local beer and wine, food, and more, come to the Dahlonega Square Saturday and Sunday to see what this festival is all about! All events are free! Saturday’s Main Stage will be from 9:30 am – 9 pm, and Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm! More info can be found here!
