Christina LaFontaine

Christina made her way to Athens for her undergrad studies in vocal performance at the University of Georgia and studied with Dr. Gregory Broughton. After a short time working in Atlanta, she began her real estate career in 2003 as an appraiser first and then as a salesperson.

She spent the beginning of her career as an assistant to a broker and gleaned invaluable knowledge from that experience. As she has moved forward in her career, she has taken that knowledge and has worked to bring professionalism to each of her transactions. Her clients, both buyers and sellers, receive full service attention throughout their transactions.

She has served on both the Athens Area REALTORS MLS Board (2010-2021) and Board of Directors (2023-present) and is currently serving on the Governmental Affairs Committee. Since 2017, she has served on the Georgia Association of REALTORS Professional Standards Committee. And at Corcoran Classic Living, she is a proud member of the CCL Advisory Council since 2022.

In our community, Christina is a member of Watkinsville First Baptist Church. She is the lead singer for the Athens A-Train Band and sings with the Athens Master Chorale whenever possible. She is a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Athens and is the Chair Elect for the Friends Advisory Committee of the Georgia Museum of Art. To support her local schools, Christina is a Platinum Sponsor of Oconee County Middle School and is a “Black” Sponsor of the Oconee County High School Lacrosse team.

Christina is married to Wade LaFontaine, who works at the University of Georgia. They have a son, Guy, and a daughter, C.C., and look forward to watching them grow up in the Athens/Oconee area while rooting on the Dawgs!
